Do you have moments when you’re unsure if you’re responding from inner wisdom or a pattern of behavior?
Probably not if you’re a Serial Spiritual Bypasser, but maybe that’s none of my business.
Let’s say, for a moment, it is my business.
I’d like to help expand your perspective, if you date.
Cognitive dissonance is a psychological theory that says we hold core values or “truths” (as most call them today)… and when something happens to challenge our core truths, it creates a discomfort so strong that we create another belief to protect our original core belief that often denies the perceived truth of the new information received.
This is where I find the spiritual journey to be challenging and tricky, and why it’s valuable to have a trusted source to help you navigate.
Not everyone you think is a trusted source.
Just because “they think like you” could be the reason why the connection ISN’T trusted, because your thought process isn’t aligned with accepting new truths.
Truth comes from vulnerability in communication between people, sharing their heart. That’s when we learn something.
When we are open, everything is available to us.
Do you find you go to certain people with certain parts of you, knowing you’ll get told what you need to hear?
Human behavior is predictable. You know who shares what thoughts with you. Don’t fall for yourself 😜
Do you have people that shake the shit out of you and make you believe things a bit more clearly?
And you continue to go to them, work with them, and learn from them?
Or do you run from them?
Deny their communication because it doesn’t match with what you’ve believed for so long?
Where would you say is the line between spiritually bypassing expansion to stay in the comfort of your perceptions, and pushing past your comfort zone to deeper wisdom?🤔
How do you distinguish the two?
